Lomazzo, 1st July 2016. The Weather is on display at the MU Art Space in Eindhoven from July 1st to September 25th to describe how the perspective about climate change has evolved 10 years after the release of the global warming documentary film “An Inconvenient Truth”. The exhibition “Weather or Not” by Angelique Spaninks and Hanneke Wetzer shows the projects by fourteen artists who share a mutual commitment: describe, reproduce and recall meteorological phenomena turning nature into indoor installations showing its beauty and perception.
Weather or Not is some kind of weather station where CoeLux® sun and sky stand out to show how unpredictable and complex the weather system is, along with the other atmospheric elements displayed in this art space such as rain, wind and snow. The CoeLux® system by Professor Paolo Di Trapani was selected because it is the only one in the whole world able to recreate the optical mechanism and phenomena that regulate light in nature indoors, especially the interaction between sun-generated light with atmosphere. The result is a bright blue sky barely indiscernible from the real one that recreates the atmosphere of a clear sunny day inside the museum.
